Hi, I'm Dennis.
I'm an engineer, a dad, and the creator of Mental Mathlete.
This started as a family passion project when I noticed my own child struggling with basic math concepts. Like many parents, I wondered why math seemed so difficult for some children despite their intelligence.
What I discovered was simple: most children aren't struggling because they're not smart. They're struggling because they haven't yet built the strong foundations that make math easy to understand.
That's why our family set out to create a better way to learn. We developed a simple, step-by-step system that helps children build number sense, critical thinking, and confidence through engaging lessons, games, and hands-on activities.
Our mission is to make quality math education accessible to every family—regardless of location, schedule, or budget.

Background
Mental Mathlete was created from a simple passion—the desire to help children build strong foundations in math from an early age. What started as a family project to help our own child overcome struggles with basic math concepts has grown into a learning platform trusted by families who want to make math easier, more engaging, and more accessible.
Over time, we realized that many children face the same challenges: difficulty understanding numbers, lack of confidence in solving problems, and frustration when learning math. We believe these struggles are rarely caused by a lack of intelligence. More often, children simply need the right foundation and a learning approach that matches how they naturally learn.
What makes Mental Mathlete different is our focus on building true understanding, not just memorization.
